Martín Hevia is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Escuela de Derecho, Universidad Torcuato Di Tella at Martín Hevia is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Escuela de Derecho, Universidad Torcuato Di Tella at Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he teaches Contracts, Obligations, and Principles of Private and Commercial Law. His areas of research interest include the philosophical foundations of both the civil and the common law, comparative private law, and legal and political philosophy. Martín is a 2001 graduate of the Escuela de Derecho, Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, where he was the first Editor-In-Chief of Revista Argentina de Teoría Jurídica, a theoretically-minded journal of law. In 2000, he was an exchange student at Chicago Kent College of Law. In 2003, he was directly admitted to the SJD programme at the Faculty of Law, University of Toronto, which he completed in 2007.

At the University of Toronto, Martín was Co-Editor-In-Chief of the Journal of Law & Equality (2004-2006), President of the Graduate Law Students´ Association (2004-2006), and Graduate Representative to the Dean´s Search Committee (2006). He was awarded the Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award for his extracurricular contributions to university life.

He is currently Managing Editor of the Latin American and Caribbean Journal of Legal Studies and member of the Editorial Board of Jura Gentium: Rivista di Filosofia del Diritto Internazionale e della Politica Globale -Stato di Diritti Umani in America Latina.

His publications include "Kronman on Contract Law and Distributive Justice" (2007) 23 Journal of Contract Law, "Contemporary Theories of Equality: A Critical Review" (2006) 54 Universidad de Puerto Rico Law Journal  (with Joel Colón-Ríos) and "Nota Sobre Fuller y Perdue y las Acciones por Incumplimiento Contractual en el Common Law" (forthcoming, 2007 at the Revista de Derecho Privado de la Universidad de Concepción).
